MY THOUGHTS
This was the first game I've really spent more than a week on, and I'm pleased with how it turned out for the time I put in! It's also one of the first more UI-based management games I've made, as well as the first card game, so it was a lot of new things. It was interesting stepping out of my comfort zone for this one, but the first step is always the hardest; I may be making more of these types of games soon! And I hope you like the character art too, since I sort of alternate between liking it and not - I think I've been looking at it too much to make an unbiased judgement.
Oh, and if my giftee is reading this, this one's for you!

took me just under an hour to max out all of the stats
Absolutely fantastic, blown away by the amount of polish and the overall ambiance of this game and made for a jam nonetheless! I really really appreciate the effort gone into the pixel art and the overall feel of the game with the music and the UI animations. Fantastic work!
That's great to hear, thank you so much!
Simple gameloop that works effectively, overall it's really polished overall and has a nice mood. Great game.
Thank you!
It's a fun game, I enjoyed this. Though, I suggest to make the guest performer and new instrument card harder too pull because at the end of my playthrough it become very easy for me too make a long combo and reached 500 on all aspect with just those cards upgraded once and the original flat increase card upgraded twice. The only thing that make it harder for that too happen is my % increase card becoming a 0% increase card.
True, I probably should've weighted it to spawn less often, it could do with a bit of balancing! I'll get round to fixing that bug too. Thanks for the feedback!
I spent way too much time on this game lol
It was pretty fun, I was surprised at how addicted I was at such a simple mechanic, it's basically a clicker with a few extra things. Unfortunately the game glitched out once I finally decided to upgrade "Sweet Riff" to level 3 and it crashed.
There was a glitch with the first three cards you can buy (the percentage ones) where if you upgrade it twice the percentage drops to 0. That created a very unintended, but funy playthrough where my "Guitar Riff" card reached that point, and I decided to no longer play musical cards and only focus on money. I basically became a complete sellout, making over 9k each show, but having 0 musical talent and very little crowd pleasing. I loved it lol, but probably not intended.
I feel like this could be a pretty great game with just a little more structure and content (and an endgame I guess, not sure if there is one right now).
Overall it was pretty fun.
Hah, that's an interesting bug that I'll have to sort out, thanks for pointing it out! And yeah, I'm hoping to come back and add a bit more soon, polish it a bit more and all that. If the jam had a bit more time, I could've finished it up - then again, if I had infinite time I don't think I'd ever stop finishing it up :P Thanks for all the feedback, it's great hearing what you thought about the game!
